The FSF Programming Board has selected the line-up of films to be screened at this year’s jubilee edition of the festival.

As many as 51 works have made it into the official competition for Vesna awards, of which 17 feature films, 6 medium-length films, 20 short films, and 8 student films. The Panorama programme features 33 works: 6 feature films, 8 medium-length films, 12 short films, and 7 student films.

This year’s edition of the festival is launching a new programme section called Youth Wing, to show 7 films made by budding primary and secondary school children. To mark the 20th anniversary, a special new section called Tribute brings to the Beach Cinema, each festival night, a list of five carefully selected classics as a tribute to the colourful history and the legends of Slovenian cinema: Mirjana Borčić, Jože Babič, František Čap, Zvonko Čoh and Milan Erič, as well as the most prolific film producer in Slovenia, the 2017 Badjura Award recipient Franci Zajc.

The 20th FSF will screen 84 films in the official Competition or Panorama programmes, and 13 films as part of other Events; in total, 97 films attesting to the vibrant artistic creativity of filmmakers in Slovenia.
